Hello! We would like to provide you with information on how your data, submitted as Use Cases for the National-Forum funded project “TEL Tools”, will be used. *

About the Project
The aim of the “TEL Tools” project is to develop a collection of free online micro-courses, specifically designed to help educators to get the most out of technology, which can support and enhance teaching and learning. These courses are made available in a free open online platform (http://telu.me) which can be accessed and utilised by anybody. Project content is licensed under a Creative Commons attribution-noncommercial 4.0 international license.

The project is funded by the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. The project is led by the Department of Technology Enhanced Learning in Cork Institute of Technology with project partners Dublin Institute of Technology, University College Dublin, Institute of Technology Tralee and University College Cork.

Use Cases Information
The aim of the case studies in the TEL Tools project is to provide evidence of exemplary uses of technology enhanced learning in an Irish context by educators/learning technologists and other practitioners and for these users to identify, in their own words, insights, advantages, difficulties, etc. which they encountered in their use of technology to enhance or support their teaching and learning practice.

The format for the case studies involves six questions:
1. Who are you and where do you teach?
2. What technology do you use for teaching and learning?
3. What do you feel are the advantages of using this technology?
4. How do you use this technology with students?
5. What do you think are the main benefits and main drawbacks to using this technology?
6. What advice would you have for someone looking to use this technology with students?

Additionally, participants are requested to provide a photograph of themselves which is displayed at the top of each case study. These photos, however, are not mandatory.
